Penketh & Sankey District Schools Cup Profile

Welcome to the 2nd Penketh & Sankey District Challenge knockout Cup competition.

This years tournament takes the traditional role of a knockout competition with all teams in the first round. Following those games, they will then be placed into two seperate competitions, the Challange trophy and Challenge Shield.  The winners of round 1 will compete for the Challenge Trophy and the losers of round 1 will compete for the Challenge Shield.

In the second rounds, there will be six teams in each competition. Three of those teams will go through to the semi final stage, leaving one place left in the semi finals.  The team with the best goal difference from the 2nd round from the losing teams, will go into the semi final. If this is equal then the team scoring the most goals will go through. If this is equal then we will revert to goal difference from the first rounds.

This is a 7 a side tournamant based upon the usual league rules for small sided games. Each team should have a squad of 10 players and subs are roll on roll off. Each game will be 20 mins each way.

A massive thanks to this years sponsors Sterling Costs Consultants without whom we could not put on this competition. http://sterlingcosts.com

And a huge thanks to the lads from Eagle JFC who give up thier spare time to officiate and set out the pitches.

Enjoy your football and good luck.
