FA Covid-19 Q&A guidance for grassroots football

The UK Government has confirmed outdoor grassroots football, can continue as an exemption to its latest planned measures in response to COVID-19.

Organised football activity is currently permitted at these levels but it is extremely important that clubs, players, coaches, match officials, league officials, volunteers, parents, carers, and facility providers continue to strictly follow both the UK Governments’ latest guidance on COVID-19 and respective bespoke guidelines from the FA.

Re-starting the game at these levels has been a significant challenge for everyone involved and we must acknowledge the hard work, passion and commitment of the football family. However, it is vital that we all adhere to these guidelines and ensure it can continue in a safe and secure way.

Supporters are the life force of our national sport and The FA hopes to see them return in greater numbers across the country as soon as it is safe and possible. However, we must continue to work together and play our part by following all the relevant guidelines if this is to become a reality.

The FA remains in consultation with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, the Sports Grounds Safety Authority, leagues and competitions and will provide an update on the further returns of supporters – including scheduled pilot events – in due course.

Updated frequently asked questions on our COVID-19 guidelines can be accessed below.

Welcome to The Echo Junior Football League

Thank you for visiting our website which has a wealth of information from committee member contacts as well has all club details for the forthcoming season. Over the next few weeks all the information needed for the start of the new season will have been input into the websites database for you all to plan your long awaited season campaign.

Please email me at kdipalma@sky.com for any problems

You can also contact me on 07908801079 but i really would prefer it in email status so I have it in writing what the problem(s) are.

As the Echo League continues to grow, we urgently need to increase the size of our committee and so we are looking for people to join.  The roles that your committee members do enable the league to run efficiently, therefore in order to ensure that the league continues to operate smoothly, we need more members to help.  For further information, please contact Iris Fraser, who can discuss the various roles available.

If you are either a new club or new team you will need a log in id and a password to access the pages for your club/team. All new secretaries have been set up with the email address they sent to the league secretary when they sent their application details in. All new managers of teams need to be set up by your club secretaries.

To gain a password for access all you need to do is use the forgotten password link at the top of the home page and enter the email address in the box that you have submitted.

There are instructions in the documents section and in the contents section to help you get set up but if you still have trouble then please send all your queries to kdipalma@sky.com and i will try to help you out.

I will not be setting up managers profiles as all club secretaries have access to do this

Kick off times for games should be no earlier than 10.00am and not later than 3.00pm during the season.  Games should not kick off more than approximately 15 minutes after the designated time agreed. Please can you ask your teams to use common sense with this, i.e. if weather conditions are adverse, we do not expect children to be waiting too much longer than this to play
