Baddesley Park Yth FC Profile

About The Club

Baddesley Park, achieved FA Charter status as a club in December 2008.

For the 2008/2009 season the club will support 11 teams playing every Sunday from under 8 to under 16. In addition the club will continue to provide children aged 5 to 7 the chance to learn some basic football skills. We aim to ensure that everyone at the club enjoys their football and has some fun whilst training and playing.

Each team manager is wholly responsible for the coaching and management of their team. All managers, without exception, became involved with the club as a result of their own child's passion for the game. The club has its own FA Level 2 coach in Paul Lowman and his expertise is employed in running some training sessions for other managers within the club as well as his own team. The club also uses external professional coaches to assist the development of players. It has formed a successful link over the last 18 months with Saints in the Community to run its own training courses. All team managers are sponsored by the club to attend the FA Level 1 Coaching course and are expected to gain this qualification.

With the support and approval of the Parish Council, our U11, U12, and U13 teams competing in the Tyro League play their home matches at the recreation ground in North Baddesley. It is here also, on Saturday mornings, that you can witness the majority of age groups taking part in training sessions. During the winter months, most of our league teams arrange mid-week training on ATPs at a range of venues.

Sound financial management means that the club is comparatively well resourced. The treasurer introduced payment of fees by standing order at the beginning of the 05/06 season and this has been a hugely successful initiative. A strong and dedicate committee aims to support managers in their jobs. The committee is keen to establish a stability that ensures the long-term future and success of the club . Whilst the majority of players live in and around North Baddesley, the club is always keen to welcome enthusiastic footballers from further afield. We will be looking for players to strengthen squads for next season. Anyone interested in joining the club should contact info@baddesleyparkfc.org.uk
 in the first instance.
