Stockport Metro JFL Message: SMBC have asked us to circulate this to all our Stockport based teams. As part of the Councilís Medium Term Financial Plan there are a number of proposals that directly affect the Greenspace and Streetcare revenue budgets. The proposals will affect the majority of greenspace sites through less frequent mowing, removal of many litter bins and general reduction in all aspects of park maintenance. The proposals also affect the wider public realm with reductions in the standards for highway cleanliness and highway verge maintenance. The related consultation is live and this link will take you straight there, the consultation is due to close on 11th January, can you please distribute it throughout your respective leagues and associations and request that as many people as possible contribute to it: https://consultation.stockport.gov.uk/policy-performance-and-reform/stockport-street-cleaning-park-and-highway-verge-m/

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TEAM AND CLUB OFFICIALS

LEAGUE HANDBOOK

The league handbook containing rules and notes for guidance, as well as a list of league officials, referees and their match fees, can be downloaded from the forms and documents section of the Stockport Metro JFL home page.

TEAM DETAILS

It is important that KO times, ground locations and Managers contact details are entered on the website. Failure to do so will result in the league being unable to allocate referees and the Managers being unable to send and receive messages.

PRE –MATCH ARRANGEMENTS

Although details of all matches are shown on the website, the HOME team manager MUST STILL contact the away team manager and any league appointed referee, to confirm the match day arrangements.

These arrangements should be made by phone in the first instance and then confirmed by no later than Wednesday evening each week, via the match day confirmations section on the home teams fixture details screen. This information then provides a clear audit trail in the event of any dispute.

If the league has not appointed a referee, it is the home team's responsibility to provide a referee. It is also the home team's responsibility to provide designated spectator areas in accordance with the FA RESPECT programme and team managers, coaches  and substitutes must be on the opposite side from the spectators

PITCH AVAILABILITY

For Stockport based teams, please check the council website on a Friday Morning for details of any pitch cancellations. The website address is as follows:

https://www.stockport.gov.uk/football
