Appleton Boys AFC has been running for over 30 years and was established in the season of 1973-74. For the 2007/08 season, we have 22 teams spanning 11 age groups from under 8’s to under 16’s, plus a training academy for the U6’s and U7’s. We typically (but not exclusively) take children from the following Primary schools. Stockton Heath, Stretton St. Matthews, St. Thomas’, Grappenhall Heys, St. Wilfrids, Appleton Thorn, St. Monicas, Broomfields Junior, plus local private schools such as Cransley and The Grange.
In 2006/07, Appleton Boys enjoyed their most successful season to date and are continuing to go from strength to strength, with teams in the first division of the Warrington Junior Football League at every age group from U9 to U16. The club are applying for the prestigious FA Charter Standard Club status following an intensive series of coaching courses across all age groups over the summer.
Appleton Boys plays on three pitches close to the Pavilion at Pewterspear and a map of our locations can be seen by clicking on the "Venues" tab on the left hand menu.
Football strip colours are Black/Red stripe tops and black shorts.
Appleton Boys is affiliated to the Cheshire County FA.
