Whyteleafe Profile

Whyteleafe FC was formed in 1946 effectively picking up the reigns dropped by Whyteleafe Albion FC who folded shortly before World War II.  The club developed and were promoted through the leagues eventually to outgrow their New Barn Lane premises and in 1959 moved to their current headquarters in Church Road.

If anything, the move accelerated the club’s progress and sustained successes saw them join the Isthmian League in 1984 and but for a two year spell in the Kent League/Southern Counties East League have been members of that league ever since.

The youth set up at Whyteleafe has also developed over the last 15-20 years with the installation of two 3G pitches including the main stadium pitch in 2014 giving fare greater opportunities for youngsters to train and play matches on the same site as the club’s senior sides.

Every year brings new developments at the club which now has its own Academy side, Under 21s, Under 18 and a very strong and progressive Ladies team. A Saturday Soccer School gives a great foundation for teams starting at Under 7s all the way through now to the senior teams. A true pathway for aspirational young footballer to follow in superb facilities. A true community-based football club for east Surrey.
