Melwood Profile

Melwood Football Club is a long established Football Club.

Founded in 1978, it will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year (2008).

Melwood F.C. was named after Liverpool training ground. Why ? Because at the time Liverpool Football Club was doing well in English Football.

The nature of the Football Club has always been to serve the local community, with the majority of its football players being selected from the surrounding areas.

The Club has also always encouraged parental support, this has helped towards  strengthening the Club, helping to make it the Football Club it is to date.
