Penlake Juniors were formed in 1971 by Mr Chris Duffy (the current club President) & Mr Eddie Guinness.
The Name Penlake stems from the old British Rail Club in Sutton Junction which was in fact situated on the Penlake trading estate.
The club now operates from the British Rail Club where we hold our meetings on a Sunday evening at 8.pm. We play our home matches on Beeches Playing fields in Sutton Road St.Helens.
The club hosts 14 teams ranging from U/8's to Open Age.
We also have an under 7's Academy and have recently formed a girls team .
The Highlight for Penlake Juniors came in 1986 when one of our teams gained entry into the "GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS" by achieving the longest undefeated run of 153 games between 1981 & 1986 If you log on to our website www.penlakejuniors.co.uk you can see the full details
