Romford Flyers was officially 1 year old on Monday 19th May
I would like to extend the thanks of the committee to all our Players, Parents and supporters for their assistance in making this possible.
It's been a very busy year for our players with 4 teams competing in the Thundermite League and all showing Great Spirit and fairness in their play.
It's also been a busy year for the committee, from the initial setting up of the club through to achieving Charter Standard status in our very first year.
We have entered 7 teams in leagues for next season compared to last years 4 and for the club to have nearly doubled in size in just a year is a great testament to everyone associated with the club.
Our Academy has already in its first year grown from the humble beginnings of a few players to the latest numbers of around 20+ regulars. It has also brought on our new under 7 team for next year. Long may this area continue to thrive as these little ones are the future of the club and they're also great fun to watch and train!
The club wishes to also thank all our very generous sponsors for their continued support of the children's activities.
Our presentation night is on 12th July and I'm really looking forward to seeing all the children receive their well-deserved recognition of their efforts this season.
Let's all look forward to our tournaments over the summer and getting ourselves ready for the 2008/09 season.
