The Island Boys Club was formed in September 1966 by our late President Brian Hills. Since that time we have grown to become one of the largest youth football clubs in South East Essex.
In 2006 the club gained FA Charter Standard status as a community club and in the same year we founded our first girl's team in the club. We now have four girl's sides running alongside the boys competing in the Essex County Girls League.
In August 2007 we purchased Smallgains Hall which has been our home for the last eight years. Our mini soccer and girl's teams will play at Smallgains whilst the older boys and men will continue to play most of their games at Waterside Farm. Our plan is to make the playing surfaces at Smallgains of a higher standard over the next couple of seasons along with our changing and Club facilities.
