We are entered into the Echo Mini and Youth League Fixtures Programme. Our training sessions take place between 10 and 12 on Saturday mornings throught the year, and are held at the Guru Gobind School Sports Ground. Our home fixtures take place on Sunday mornings at The Old Chigwellians Club. All teams are coached under the supervision of official FA Coaches.
We pride ourselves in the fact that Soccer Skills has won a number of Sportsmanship awards.
There are a few basic ideals of which Soccer Skills Youth Football Club endeavour to follow:
Undoubted sportmanship both on and off the field. The co-operation of youngsters of all ages,
to join together in sport and learn to achieve their goals, with the wholehearted support of their parents/carers.
"Soccer Skills is committed to ensuring every child irrespective of ability who plays in our teams has one priority. That is ENJOYMENT first, the rest will follow. The first thing a parent should ask when their child arrives home from football is "did you enjoy it?" not "what was the score?".
We also firmly believe in Sportsmanship - that is playing the game in the correct spirit, the result of the game is secondary. It is always nice to win though but if the two areas, enjoyment and sportsmanship, are followed correctly then everything else will follow.
