The easiest & most straight forward access is from the M6 Motorway at J26 (the M58 interchange SP Southport / Skelmersdale) following the signs for Wigan A577. (You will exit the motorway via a long slip way which is up a hill after travelling through roundabouts at the interchange) At the top of the slip way (T junction) turn right and follow the signs for Wigan. You will go VIA "PEMBERTON" through a number of sets of traffic lights, heading towards the JJB stadium / town centre. After approx 3 miles on this road (Ormskirk Road) you will see an ALDI store. Turn LEFT immediatley before ALDI, into Scot Lane which goes passed the Aldi store. The best option for parking is :- in the "SECOND avenue on your LEFT" after the "Newtown Working Mens club" which is WILFRED STREET* continue to the bottom and park in the cul-de-sac and you will see the pitch in front of you....... please copy & paste this link into your browser for location information.... http://www.wlct.org/Leisure/pfmgmt/laithwaite.htm

Come off at Junction 26 M6 North signposted "Skelmersdale / Southport" then as you access the slip road you follow signs for "Wigan A577" As you come up the spur road from the Motorway you will turn Right towards Wigan on the A577. After approx 300yds on your right, you will approach Abraham Guest High School, Orrell Rd, Orrell, Wigan, WN5 8HN Continuing passed the school you will slightly bear left on the road where you will TURN your FIRST RIGHT into BANKES AVE where you will immediately park your vehicles on this road (i.e. Bankes Ave) Once you have parked your vehicles you will make your way back up to the main road where you have just come from and you will TURN LEFT back up road where you have just turned Right and you will see a RED POST BOX on the other side of the road. The pitch is accessible on foot down a dirt track that is signposted by a "Public Footpath" at the side of the Red Post Box which goes down the side of a GREY WALL. Continue to walk down this track & you will come to some old sheds and a set of gates (that should be open!) that gives you access onto the pitch. Easiest access is from J25 M6 which is Northbound only. At the end of the spur road take a LEFT onto the A49 signposted Wigan Town Centre & JJB Stadium. You will pass Sainsburys & McDonalds on your Left hand side and then approach a roundabout. Go straight ahead at this roundabout(following JJB Stadium) and continue to the 3rd set of lights that has Goose Green Labour club on the left hand side. Turn LEFT at this 3rd set of lights into "Little Lane" and you will see the playing fields on your Right hand side. Parking is available on 2 car parks - 1 on your RHS and also on the Labour Club car park on your left.
